Snohomish County 911 – Help Starts Here

1. If you think you have an emergency please call 9-1-1. An emergency is an immediate threat to life or property or an in-progress crime. If you’re not sure whether it is an emergency it is ok to call 9-1-1 and the call-taker will assist you.  If you are outside our county, please call our 10-digit emergency line 425-407-3970.

2. Our 24-hour non-emergency number can be used when you need a non-emergency sheriff/police response or to follow-up on an incident. Non-emergency number: 425-407-3999

What to expect when you call 9-1-1.

When you call 911 the first thing you will be asked is to provide the exact location of the emergency and for your phone number. Our 911 operators are trained to ask a series of questions that can help determine what type of response to send, how many responders and whether both law enforcement, fire and EMS units are needed. Our 911 operators can also provide life-saving medical guidance over the phone before first responders arrive.  

While the 911 Operator is helping you on the phone the dispatchers are able to alert responders, share the information you’re telling the 911 operator and most importantly send help to your emergency.
